With several advancements and transformations in the Corporate Governance domain in the African region, most commercial and government organizations in Mozambique is already in the process of aligning with the regulations. As Mozambique shares a unique relation with EU due its Portuguese legacy, it is directly impacted by the GDPR compliance requirements. Additionally, The King IV Report for Corporate Governance™  for South Africa 2016 has been in effect from 1st April 2017, and the current avatar puts a lot of stress and focus on Digital Transformation Governance, Enterprise Risk & Cybersecurity, which makes adopting and transforming an organization’s Enterprise IT Governance especially more relevant now. The World Bank Report of 2018 for Doing Business in Mozambique indicates a positive trend, which requires further efforts to sustain and improve the cross-border as well as global commercial traffic, in the longer run.

Hence, a lot of organizations in Mozambique are gearing up to be better equipped with the vision in front of them, and taking charge of corporate stewardship, by not only raising awareness about the Governance of Enterprise IT in the region, but also empowering their staff with the skills and knowledge regarding it. ISACA’s COBIT® 5 framework for the governance and management of enterprise IT is a leading-edge business optimization and growth roadmap that leverages proven practices, global thought leadership and ground-breaking tools to inspire IT innovation and fuel business success. In order to facilitate such an impetus, MAGE IT recently conducted a COBIT® 5 Foundation Certification training course batch at Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique, with delegates hailing from various sectors such as government, banking and finance, oil and gas, telecommunications, NGOs, etc. What more, is that the training had a 100% passing rate, with the participants having a lot of fantastic feedback about the course itself, and about our Lead Trainer Rohit Banerjee.
